Really enjoy these romantic suspense novels, now a little dated but still engaging reads. Haven't read the author for many years so was very pleased to see them becoming available for kindle. Couldn't feel any real "spark" between the romantic leads here although I did love the setting and the culprit wasn't readily apparent which is always a plus.

I love Phyllis Whitney but this book had another of description for me. I love her ability to write suspense and I was expecting more suspense from her. A good read but not her best.

Both books are fantastic. I have read them multiple times and never grow tired of reading them again. Phyllis Whitney is a great author.

Murder mystery and understated romance
Re-reading old favorites from the past. Phyllis Whitney wrote fairly good and very popular romantic suspense stories often in exotic locales a great combination for a nice read. This book fulfills those requirements for entertaining but exciting stories in a gentle way.
This is one of my favorite Phyllis Whitney books. Since it was written long before the unrest and distrust of the muslim world that we have today, you can see some of that world without the political and social undertones that exist today. It's still a little weird for a Western World person to read, but interesting. The story is fairly basic to her usual plots, though I think the villain is a lot harder to guess than usual. I loved the cat and the double meaning to its name. I was very glad to see this one come out on since I think it's one of her best.
